Father Dayton Dewey, Associate Priest

Dayton Dewey is an Associate Priest at the Grosvenor Chapel. He is the Director/Supervisor of the Hampstead Counselling Service and a Pastoral Consultant to the Moderator of the Thames North Province of the United Reformed Church.

Dayton earned his MA from Syracuse University and an M Div from the General Theological Seminary in New York City. He was the Director of of a Chaplaincy programme at the largest not-for-profit hospital in NYC before coming to London in 1986. He was a Curate at St Mary le Bow and at St Mary Aldermary in The City from 1986-1992. He served as Interim Priest at Christ Church, Hampstead, before coming to the Chapel in 1995.

Dayton has Advanced Certificates in Clinical Pastoral Psychotherapy from St Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Centre/Columbia University, NYC and New York Hospital/New York University, NYC. He also trained at the Blanton-Peale Institute for Psychotherapy, NYC and with the Independent Group of Analytical Psychology, London.

He is a member of the British Association of Counselling and Pyschotherapy. He has a private practice for individual and couple counselling and he facilitates a weekly men's group.
