Many thanks to all those who supported the Grosvenor Chapel Opera Gala on 28th January. The proceeds raised were £5000.00 for the Chapel's outreach and dementia programme.
An uplifting evening of music  by  Mozart, Donizetti, Saint-Saens, Delibes and Strauss delighted the 170 strong audience. Soloists Ellie Edmonds, Will Smith, Samuel Pantcheff, Sophie Pullen and Will Smith  were  captivating whilst ably accompanied by pianist Elliot Laun and the compere Anthony Harris. Under the direction of Richard Hobson, The Mayfair Chorus was formed from the Mayfair Community Choir, the UK Japan Choir, the Dorchester Choir and the choir of Forsters LLP. The audience joined in for a rousing rendition of   "Brindisi" at the finale.

Without the support of many this Opera Gala would not have been possible:
To Lis Hasted for co-ordinating the event with the organising committee: Nathan Bedwell, Diana Dennis, The Rev'd Dr Richard Fermer, Tom and Emma Howard, Jane Jukes, Tim and Helen Rawlins, Denise Scots- Knight, Will Smith.
