CHAPEL OPENING TIMES
The Chapel is usually open to visitors Monday - Friday during office hours.
The Chapel is also open on
Saturdays for Occasional Offices, and
Sundays for the 11am Sung Eucharist.
The Lord is full of compassion and mercy,
Slow to anger and of great goodness.
As a father is tender towards his children,
So is the Lord tender to those that fear him.
(from The Funeral Service)
It is very important that each human life at its end is laid to rest with both dignity and prayer.
At the Chapel, funerals are services of thanksgiving and, with readings, hymns and prayers, we commend the soul of the departed to the love and safe-keeping of God. After the service the remains of the deceased are taken either to be buried or cremated.
On the Feast of All Souls, the traditional time of the year when the Church remembers the souls of the departed, we have a Vespers, "The Lighting of the Lamps", and pray for those whom we love but see no longer. The Service is usually in November with details published on our website.
Please contact us to discuss the planning of a funeral. It is important, also, to inform the undertaker of the priest's contact details.
